and nutritional product The lab will help facilitate incremental production and development of new technologies. The computer assisted lab has the ability to monitor several key manufacturing parameters simultaneously as per ICH guidelines. The lab also includes a mini auto coater for coated tablets and a fluid bed granulator for pellets, chewable kid tablets and sustained release dosage forms. Founded in 1946, Pharmed enjoys a rich history in research, development and manufacturing of Pharmaceutical and Nutrition products. We produce over 2 billion tablets, 500 million capsules, gels, shakes, probiotics and drinks for leading brands worldwide as private label or under our own brands. We have over 800 employees, three manufacturing sites that are WHO cGMP, ISO 9001:2000 and HACCP certified, and a significant research effort in carbohydrate chemistry. One of our manufacturing sites is also EU cGMP inspected by the Danish Medicines Agency, BRC (British Retail Consortium) and Intertek audited. The plant is approved for licensed glucosamine products in the EU. Products in Europe are warehoused for just in time delivery by our regional partners to optimize customer inventory holding. The plant capacity is being enhanced by addition of an 60 inch auto coater and a 30% increase in granulation capacity to over 3 billion tablets annually, in addition to capsules, powders and shakes. A in-house testing lab provides comprehensive analytical and microbiology support. A recently commissioned dedicated packing facility provides blister packing, jar packing, sachet packing and aluminium packing capability.
